Empezando con esta serie de Haciendo Democracia, el primer post es sobre los Alcaldes.
Como lo dije en el anterior, esta serie será sobre el cantón y provincia donde resido. Samborondón se compone del cantón y la parroquia Tarifa y la parroquia satélite La Puntilla. Se elige 1 alcalde y concejales urbanos y rurales.
Respecto a los alcaldes, en el cantón Samborondón hay 5 candidatos. Tres de los cuales participan por primera vez, uno siempre participa pero cada elección con distinto partido, y el último va por la reelección.
Por la alianza UNO/PSP está la Abogada Olga Zambrano, quien fue comisaria del cantón hace unos cuantos años. Reside en la parroquia La Puntilla y es la que más publicidad ha hecho en esta parroquia.
Por el PSC/Madera de Guerrero, José “Coco” Yunez, quien va por la reelección. Se han realizado muchas obras en la cabecera cantonal como el Hospital, escuelas en los recintos, mejoramiento de la avenida principal de la parroquia La Puntilla, entre muchas otras.
Por el PRIAN, Juan Carlos Nuñez, total desconocido y nuevo en estas lides.
Por la RED, Francisco Navarro, quien ya ha participado en anteriores elecciones pero representando a otros partidos. En la anterior lo hizo por el PRIAN.
Y finalmente por PAIS, Luis Rosero, otro desconocido nuevo en estos eventos.
